Our Opt-In Process

Step 1: Account Creation

When you create an account with SlackToSMS, you provide your email address and verify your identity. At this stage, no SMS messages are sent to your device.

Step 2: Explicit Consent Collection

Before we send any SMS notifications, we collect your explicit consent through our subscription setup process:

  • You must provide your phone number
  • You must check the box confirming: "I consent to receive SMS notifications from SlackToSMS for my selected Slack channels"
  • You must click the "Enable SMS Notifications" button to confirm your choice

Step 3: Verification

We send a verification code to your phone number that you must enter on our website to confirm ownership of the phone number and finalize your consent.

Managing Your Consent

You can modify or withdraw your consent at any time through your account dashboard:

  • Add or remove Slack channels from your notification list
  • Change your phone number
  • Temporarily pause notifications
  • Completely disable SMS notifications

Additionally, you can reply STOP to any SMS message to immediately opt-out of all future messages.

Our SMS messaging service complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including:

  • The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA)
  • The CAN-SPAM Act
  • Carrier requirements and industry best practices
